Selfreliance FCU welcomes Michigan area clergy to Christmas celebration
Selfreliance Federal Credit Union has always had a special bond with our Ukrainian Churches, as they served as the cornerstone of our community. Selfreliance holds our Ukrainian clergy in high esteem, as they minister to their parishioners. Selfreliance FCU honors our Ukrainian clergy of Catholic, Orthodox and Christian congregations with an annual celebratory luncheon. These celebrations have been held annually in the Chicago area for over 45 years, and the tradition has been expanded to our New Jersey and Michigan locations.
This celebration is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the important role that Ukrainian churches play in uniting their congregations around moral values and a spiritual worldview while providing support to their communities. We thank the clergy for their spiritual guidance throughout the year, especially during this incredibly challenging time.
Selfreliance FCU is proud to be a major supporter of these churches, thereby demonstrating our commitment to our members' spiritual as well as financial well-being.
Attendees at the luncheons are treated to a delicious hot meal and drinks in a convivial, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The event is concluded with a prayer, followed by a beautiful rendition of "Mnohaya Lita" – sending best wishes to all for a joyous holiday season.

УФКС Самопоміч зі самих початків свого існування зберігає тісні зв’язки з українськими церквами та духовними провідниками громади. Щороку Самопоміч вшановує наших отців-душпастирів, угощаючи їх на передріздвяному прийнятті. Ця традинція провадиться в Ілліной вже около 45 літ, і нещодавно встановлена також і у Мічіган та Нью Джерзі.
Це свято є чудовою нагодою визнати важливу роль, яку відіграють українські церкви в об’єднані своїх паств навколо моральних цінностей і духовного світогляду, одночасно надаючи підтримку своїм громадам.
Самопоміч пишається тим, що надає підтримку нашим церквам, виявляючи цим нашу відданість фінансовому благополуччю, національній і духовній свідомості наших членів.
Присутніх чекали смачні гарячі страви, напої та тепла затишна атмосфера. Прийняття завершено молитвою, а потім чудовим виконанням “Многії Літа”, надсилаючи всім найкращі побажання радісних свят.
